Reform Your Grinchness Sonnet #42 Poem by Stephanie Eve Kane Arado

Reform Your Grinchness Sonnet #42

Tempers flare like red satin Christmas balls
Pine needles dry like poky porcupines
Grumbling inside while the crystal snow falls
Meeting Santa and standing in long lines
Secular and holy this Christmas time
Electric, natural now intertwine
Candy canes, manger scenes, silver bells chime
Carve the Christmas goose and pass the red wine
Randal and Bass classics cheer up the night
Colored tree lights shine through many windows
Eggnog, ginger snaps make everything right
Tinsel and glitter lift everyday lows
As we celebrate the day Christ was born
Reform your Grinchness and put aside scorn
