Regrets. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Regrets.

Rating: 5.0

I never heard a tree weep,
Nor saw a swan drown,
Nor touched a lion's crown,
Nor felt a rose deep.
But I saw your tears drop,
And I heard your heart sob,
And I felt your soul drown
When past memories I stirred.
My heart bleeds to infinity;
My mind lurks to insanity;
And my miserable life I would
Now trade for yours if I could.
