Regrets Poem by Helen claire jones

Regrets

Goodbye young love on your way
shattered dreams shall torment your day
no more games, no more tears
sodden lies gain no damned fears.
alone once more, rejoice in yourself
look into the mirror to search for sacrifice
killing time the soul can see
the wounded heart will bleed for the wanting of me.
one heart beating loud and strong
one heart crying all alone
lonely nights on my own
thinking of the days that we once stole
looking out into the dark dismal night
searching for a star that could be yours and mine
capture that star and never let it go
treasure it well before it decides to roam
like an ocean wide and deep
like our relationship, secretive and meek
come back into my life again
rejoice in our endearing love.
