Rejection Poem by Shalom Freedman

Rejection

The words go on
They strive to cover
The deeper silence
Of what has been lost
A lifetime has been given
And little remains
Silence and more silence
Words and more words
And underneath again
Deeper pain
Which is what
Rejection truly is.
