Religion Of Love (#2) Poem by April Darcy

Religion Of Love (#2)

You rode into my Life on a White Horse
like Christ in Revelations.
Trumpets Blasting.
Albeit, I didn't Know that the same Horns
would also signal our Love's Apocalypse.
Although, you never Revealed yourself to me,
I still Loved you as Peter Loved Christ.
And, you, Judas, Returned my Loved with Betrayal.
Now, I bear my Broken Heart like a Cross.
Each day, I Cruscify myself with Thoughts of you,
and, I Pray for our Love's Resurrection.
