Relinquished love

Relinquished love
Severed and snuffed
From the indifference of a laughing lover
This thief of intimacy and passion
Stabs my heart
Wounding me deeply

Elsewhere

A single blood red drop
From a fragile aorta
Rolls down a white feathered breast
Of a dead wingless dove
Gripped in the hands of an innocent child
