Relinquishing Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Relinquishing

Rating: 2.0

a bouncing ball
thrown with force
bouncing off the wall
changing course

going downhill
rolling to a stop
robbed of freewill
stranded on blacktop

caught up in the rush
whoosh…whirling rapidly
feeling a sudden crush
deflating reluctantly
