I think of you always
wishing you were with me
and i think of how
i want us to be

I wish that i tried
and held fast to you
but i found out too late
you're a dream come true

I needed you near me
though i pushed you away
now i can only hope
that you'll return someday

But i gave up
or that's how it felt
and now, how you act
it makes my heart melt

I still have hope
that you'll come back to me
as long as we're apart
my heart's blind as can be

You probably don't know it
but you held my heart
and it still breaks everyday
that we're apart

Now i cry everyday
and straight through the night
wishing and praying, someday
you'll be holding me tight.
