Remember Me Poem by lucas mmaduabuchi

Remember Me

The sun has set, autumn leaves are falling down,
seasons coming to an end,
so rough and so tough, the road has been,
but it's all ended,
and it's time to say goodbye.

Looking at our pictures,
hanging on the wall so free,
encasing the memories of time so young, and love so pure,
dear, do remember me.

Sometimes, the nights are cold,
sometimes, dust changes to gold,
am feelin stronger, yes am bold,
the moon gets more brighter,
am getting more horse power,
and just like you and anyone else, I deserve more better.

I am on my way,
and I hope to get there,
I hope I get to see you again someday,
but if I don't come back,
and you never get to see me,
just look at our pictures, and remember me.

Times and tides changes,
and so, our love has come and gone, finally, am moving on,
feeling so free like a bird,
taking each step, counting one, two, three.

Sometimes, we feel the unspeakable,
but never you worry,
cause life's a journey,
that when we travel with love,
we will never feel sorry.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Igwilo Vincent Somto 29 June 2016

Riding it as strong as ever, truly life is a journey and we encounter many abnormal things in life as we travel, love only is the normal thing that keeps us moving, keep it up, my mentor and great poet
