Remember The Pep Rallies Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Remember The Pep Rallies

Rating: 5.0

Remember all the vociferous pep rallies
We attended in school days now gone?
And who can recall all the songs and cheers
initiated by the cheerleaders as the night wore on.

Don't you remember all the inspirational speeches
and the brightly colored confetti thrown in the air?
And still don't you hear the screaming and laughter-
And still don't you picture your classmates there?

Ho for the tooty-toots that clung to our hand,
And ho, for the fun we had tooting them too!
The memory of it still fancifully lingers,
While all the players passed by in review.

Ho for the stars that above us were gleaming
As out in the moonlight the bonfire was made-
A similar moonlight in which I am dreaming,
Tonight of all the rallies held and rival games played.
