Reminiscence Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Reminiscence

Rating: 4.5

I have laughed so much
till every spring, brook and river
gurgled, churned and roared
joining me in my joy

I have hurt so much
till the whole universe
vibrated and shuddered
racked in my pain

I have agonized so much
till my curled crumbling body
rose howling into the winds
dispersed in Saharan deserts

I have moaned so much
till every breath I took
was an avalanche in Everest
throwing up shredded Ice

Now all that pain
a faint remembrance of past
whence the girl, poured out
all the hurt, lost in path of love
