Reminiscence Poem by Rigzen Angmo

Reminiscence

I hear maybe you miss me still
That sometimes you do think of me.
I wonder if that is even true
I wonder what did the people see.

For all the years I have known you
The best I knew was of your fallacy
A master in veiling emotions and thoughts
You kept one lock and just one key
No one could penetrate your hard shell through
No one could make you utter free
So when I hear you miss me still
I wonder what did the people see

With you in mind, I clutch my cup
Sipping through I flip pages gone
Reminiscing I go back in times,
When we used to be, just us alone!

How nights.. when my limbs won't warm
You would cuddle me in your warmest hug
Those times.. when my toothpaste moustache
Would set you laughing, rolling on that rug.
How everything then - just seemed perfect!
Like nothing could ever work out more!
How everything just flipped in a blink
Like it was all but a dream, a closed door!

Snap! I come back. What's happening? This all?
Where am I? Wha.. - I realize, it dawns
'Back to reality' so as they say
But I am still dazed, what happened anyway?

Then slowly it all comes back to me
Clearly... yet, with some pushed will
It all started when my friend said-
'They think maybe he misses you still'

I really doubt it, but if that can be
I'll just say am glad, I still cross your mind
That somehow you haven't lost me all
That I can still be found when you unwind.

Why I feel this way..? I do not know!
I could never understand this heart of mine.
