Renew Poem by Dan Lundahl

Renew

So you're stuck in the past,
You find that relationships just don't last,
That's just a start of the phase,
Your heart's feeling flays, and it's on a blaze.

Let me enlighten you of phase number two,
This is the greatest chance to renew,
Put down your shyness and your shame,
Flash a smile, and it's time to join the game.

You put on your boots, and you strap 'em up tight,
Put on your jeans, your shirt, and have 'em worn right,
A crimson red love color tie, around your flexed neck,
Reach to the mirror, show your teeth, and a last ready check.

Walk with style, stomp those boots to make an entrance,
Keep your eyes open and awake, peer around and glance,
Keep in there, be patient, and find your prey,
Remember in your head, there's always a way, then say;

'Don't you deserve a new chance, a whole new start? '
Tell her you make a match, and sting her your seduction dart,
'I've never seen you, where are you from? I'm from here.'
Pink clouds on her cheeks, her eyes tell you, the sector's clear.

You may get sceptical now, and doubt what I tell you,
You'll nearly fall in despair, you'll yell that I have no clue,
You're worth it all, and you've got your heart to load,
When close enough, it's healthy to once in a while, have it explode.

'I have nothing but time, and I want to know you, sweetheart, '
Her eyes twitch, she wonders if you're another player,
Tilt your head, use an ace, play a smile if needed,
Trust me on this one, you've gotten her seeded. (Not sexually. With love. I know certain people who'd misunderstand.: -))
