Requiem Poem by Lekë Loshi

Requiem

Rating: 0.5

His soul rested
The slings and arrows of misfortune
Have laid it to rest
All his powers invested
Into making melody
Melody for the dead and discontented
We hope for the best
Yet we kill ourselves and each other
Butchers of this world
Hoping for another
More simple life
We get rid of the only life we have
