Requiem By My Friend Peggy



I try and try - so very hard

To bury thoughts of you

Then from the sepulchres of my mind

Your wraith comes stealing through.



Your shadow falls across my heart

My love flares up anew.

In anguish then, the tear-drops start

I grieve! I grieve! for you.
