To mask it's true weight

Would it be so bad to be honest
Wasting time weighing up pro's and con's
Missing a chance to be bold

'Poor blighter' I muttered presumptuously,
As I found myself staring at him.
From several rows behind,
I was passing judgement.

Now empty and of no use
I'll drink till I find it
