Resonance Poem by Leslie Alexis

Resonance

The seeds of our bond
Given by me, shared unequally
Flickering to and fro - Bound.
Transient it may be
Yet, this is not what men see.
Instead, what we have builds strength.
But our closeness (I bring you close to me)
Is not perfect.
We are high spirit bodies;
I bring stabilization to you, and you to me
That's the secret in what we do!
Because of this, I do not want to be free.
But my arms are bound because of you
And certain things I cannot do:
I can't rotate: and neither can you!
We are like single
But our singleness is not true
We are a couple;
But we are not a double.
Because to me, you do not give you all
(I guess am Peter, but you are no Paul!)
Your space is shared with another
And to him you give of you.
