Respect

Respect is a lesson that everyone should learn
Respect must be given before expected in return
Respect is something that comes free,
But is not easily earned
Respect is authority,
Accepted by the majority
Without respect chaos takes affect

Liked the meaning and every thing, but in poetic sense, the last line seems a little out of place. Yes the meaning is of the truest forms. May I give a suggestion for the last line, in case you do not mind?

Without respect chaos takes affect so how about this -
    Without respect chaos brings calamity.
