Rest Poem by Babatunde Aremu

Rest

Rating: 5.0

Running up and down
Does not automatically translate to huge wealth
Only divine providence brings profit
Yes, there is dignity in labour
But labour without rest
Is like burning cigarette from both ends
As you lour, take time to rest
Rest to take stock
Rest to rediscover
Rest to acknowledge
Your achievements and failures
Don't burn out fast through ceaseless work
A bird that dies because of one fruit
Leaves the fruit for other birds to eat.

Poet has brought here about the people who lead a hectic life..for earning but one should not forget divine providence..this doesn't mean that we should not run or do job we must but not as we are doing...destruction will fetch immorality and nothing else...thank you
