Rest Easy Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Rest Easy

Listen to the marching feet,
As they move to a steady beat.
They will stand and not retreat,
And the enemy they will defeat.

You can see them standing proud,
And hear their voices echo loud.
They'll stand out from the crowd,
To defend this country they have vowed.

It's their version of a business suit,
After they lace up their boots.
A handshake for them is a salute,
And their office is where they shoot.

They will stand up for what is right,
And always willing to show their might.
Since they stand ready for a fight,
We can all rest easy at night.
