Restraint Poem by Casey Stewart

Restraint

Have some restraint, control the emotion
Fixing this mind, will take time
Little lists and reminders only go so far
I must want to change, and now…
I do
I really believe, that there is hope for me
Not in the stars or Christian books
My hope is my own strength, my restraint
The first step is always the hardest
But this effort is a crack in the wall of malice
And when the wall crashes down, a true man will be left
