Resurrected Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

Resurrected

Many a month you were hidden,
After a long while all of a sudden
Your status I was able to see,
How surprising was it all to me!
You whom I thought had lost contact
Appears to have saved my contact;

Marvelled, I went on with my bicycle ride
Crossing the border to the Switzerland side,
Beautiful views, breathtakingly wide,
Untrodden paths, many a new glide,
In my ears was the euphony of Sita Raman
Along with it was brought upon
An epiphany of reminiscence,
It was you whom I did not want to part,
Yet to express myself, I never did start,
The actors with your name I have begun to admire
Whenever I see them it is you whom I remember,
A hundred thousand intangible messengers I had sent
In the form of hopes, and my poems as encrypted text,
They might not have reached you at any point,
For you might not have read anything I posted,
Or even understood if read, as a matter of fact,
Having been timid and impassive, I only lament;

In my mind, dreams of you and me,
Subsided and submerged within me,
With one picture of you, it all resurrected,
Came back to me as an overwhelming full flood,
You ignited my frozen thermodynamic heart,
It thawed and now resonates only with your thought,
Despite being eight thousand and seven hundred kilometres apart
All the way from Swiss to Seoul,
All the way from Konstanz to the Korean soil,
In my mind, dreams of you and me,
Resided and emerged within me,
If you are Ram, then I am Sita,
If you are Vijay, then I am Sangeetha,
But you are victory, and to you I may be a nobody,
If at all you don't have a better somebody
Then can I propose and will you marry me!

If you do have a better someone,
Then also I do wish you all the joy
That could be bestowed by the divine,
I always wish you to be well and happy,
But if you would accept my love and marry
Then I could also be with you, very, very happy;

At this point, I don't know
What the future awaits,
Your recent messages sow
The seeds for my growing heartaches
Alongside alternating wee joy and very joy,
I realized that my love for you is eternal,
Whether you could know that I can't really tell.
