Resurrection Poem by Ryan Joseph Holder

Resurrection

Rating: 5.0

Broken down
To nothingness
Left alone
To die...for this?
These elegy
Continue to play
As they lower my body
Into the grave
And as she stands
Beside my corpse
She sheds her tears
Of endless remorse
She did not shudder
She did not speak
She simply held me
And continued to weep
She looked down
And examined my face
Pale and hollow...
Yet warm with grace
And with a last good-bye
She left me this
She stroked my hair
And gave me a kiss
Sus lagrimas
Me caen encima
Y aun que decea
No vuelve la vida
Y Empeso a llorar
Tan furte que duele
Que grito 'No me dejes;
Por favor vuelve'
And hearing her wish
I opened my eyes
And she began kissing me
As without surprise
And as I rose
She held my hand
And saved me from
This bitter end
For I left Heaven
And came back to earth
Because my Heaven
Would be Hell without her!

I loved it. And putting two languages together like that...makes it unique. And the message is very powerful too. Great job. =)
