Resurrection Poem by Audrey Palmer

Resurrection

Rating: 5.0

empty, hollow and dark
nothing but silence
no thoughts or feelings
none
but you stay
acting as a spark
blocking out the darkness and
the silence and the discontent
like a shadow to the pain
a flower in a garden of death
a resurrection inside my head
the cure to my emptiness
but you go and
one by one
each petal dies
the resurrection fails
and I no longer feel alive
