Retirement (Or) Till Your Last Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

Retirement (Or) Till Your Last

Sixteen is sweet but sixty is sweeter
Umpteen tests and trials make it greater
Rush of young blood make us willy nilly
With age we mature and mellow fully
Oh, look back, take stock of your sixty years
Pains, pleasures, gains, losses, smiles and some tears-
Dedicate them to next generation
Educate, explain- end consternation
Past is lost, future is vast- so act fast
Retire from work, but serve till your last
