Return To Me Poem by Chris Jibero

Return To Me

Fly back to me
like an eagle
on a gainful swoop
and abide by me eternally
so cries my heavy heart
in a rich longing baritone
fired by desire
like baby boy
untimely weaned
from its mother's propitious paps.

Though distance has taken you
from my firm
and warm
sweet embrace
my eyes of the spirit
are trained
to stay alert on you
as the security detail of a queen
whose king is jealous
as I await your return
to my yearning embrace
and kiss
my gracious gift
my voluptuous vineyard
my delightful dame
my jocund joy
my perpetual peace
and my comely complement.
