Revenant - A Terzanelle Poem by Sheri Green

Revenant - A Terzanelle

I thought I saw you standing there
Forgotten within the dying light
A ghostly figure upon the stair

In the fell darkness of the night
I close my eyes and fervently pray
Forgotten within the dying light

I will love you ’till the end days
Far beyond the grasp of death
I close my eyes and fervently pray

I will love you with my last breath
With every rising and setting sun
Far beyond the grasp of death

Our two souls have ever been one
In my heart you will always stay
With every rising and setting sun

Though our bodies may fade away
In my heart you will always stay
I thought I saw you standing there
A ghostly figure upon the stair
