Reworded 'My Crack Addiction' Poem by Linda Racaniello

Reworded 'My Crack Addiction'

Crystalline rocks of how pretty they are
There's no way you'll ever stop at one
You'll fill that pipe over and over
and keep right on smoking even when your done

Chasing that dragon, now that's the worst
cause when you first try it, it's seems like fun
but just try to give up, just try to quit
then you'll wish you had never begun

Cocaine is a beautiful woman from hell
She'll wrap you fast around her finger
She'll wine you and dine you at first
but it's you who will make her linger

She'll drain your money every time
Soon you will cheat, steal and lie
Your cravings will have you hopping
until you wish that you could die

You'll no longer sleep, and rarely eat
Everything you see will seem overdone
You'll want to party all day and all night
You'll never realize that the woman has won

What used to be the life of the party
Now makes you move from place to place
Trying to outrun your family and friends
but soon she'll have you running the race

You'll be hating your life, wishing to die
Going to sleep, never wanting to wake
You'll be praying to God, or anybody
trying to fight that lady you can't shake

They say that meeting makers make it
Well I have tried that on a dry run
but I can't handle people in groups
Having agoraphobia isn't much fun

SO this time selling has got me busted
but jail will help me in the long run
locking me up, where I can't leave
is the only way this war can be won
