It is true that rhyme sonnets are easy to write
And easy to read and easy to recite
But a well written rhyme sonnet is a beautiful thing
As the rhyming words in it to the reader does sing
It is not a secret with you i do share
When i say that good rhyming sonnets are certainly rare
The rhyming sonnet you read and you re-read again
That in your mind's memory bank you do retain
It is true a good rhyme sonnet can make a good song
One that to the ages is destined to belong
The rhyme sonnet you like to recite every day
As a nice piece of work as some do like to say
Rhyme sonnets are many but well written one's few
You may say to that tell us something that is new.
