Ritual Of Alienation Poem by Soran M. H

Ritual Of Alienation

Rating: 5.0

I hear the rustle of slippers
behind me
who is it
Following me, a little apart?
I turn and stare
I see nothing
just dry leaves
seeking their destiny
after waving goodbye
to the trees

The trees are silent
stiff in meditation
the sidewalks are frozen
the streets are empty
I wonder:
where will these narrow paths
take us?

All the rhythm of the seasons
is stopped

But the yellow rose
that smiled at the hum of bees
and cared nothing about death -
let us hope
life
still pulses in her veins

The cycle of life leads us to that ritual of alienation. It is inevitable. A beautiful poem with superb imagery.

Came and read this beauty again. I relax in its extraordinary beauty while I gravely examine its darker sides and pray that poetry still lives in the veins of some of our writers be they poets or novelists Top marks for an extraordinary write. yes I know I've used that word twice but it expresses my feelings so well! ! !
