River Alone Poem by Lilly James

River Alone

The girl sits by the river
Warm tears streaming
Down her hurt face
She looks into the water
Wishing the water would
Wash her away or
Carry her downstream
She knows she has to face
Her problems but she'd
Rather hide away
She watches the river
Rush by not going anywhere
She wishes she were like that
Not having to worry
About her next move
She wants to forget this mess
Tomorow she'll have to face it
Theres no way around it
She'll have to do it alone
Theres no one left
To help her out of this
This is her battle to fight
She sits by the river crying
She's not ready to face
The whole world alone
