Road Poem by Danette Frenz

Road

The road to life is up and down
All around town.
Dipping high, dipping low
Feelings a tow,
I row,
So slow.
Don’t know where to go.
I’m my own foe
And it shows.
Why can’t I just glow?
And grow?
In a day, I have mixed episodes
Carrying all my loads,
I just want to goad,
Myself, I’m told.
