Roadmaps Poem by Melanie Nameleen

Roadmaps

Wash my eyes with tears
Make me see clear again
Blow the dust away
I'm not an empty shelf

Flowers do bloom in dark rooms
For I am here today
Blossomed up to be
The thorned red rose you see

Scars like roadmaps
A labyrinth on canvas
The black brick road
A path I'll never cross again

Get tangled up in me
The living tragedy
That thought she said farewell
To reveling in misery

Time to break the habit
Reverse the curse, the legacy
Explore the unknown, get ready to grow
The future shines brightly

All you have to do is follow the scars like roadmaps
