Robin Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Robin

Why didn't you tell me, I never knew
Of all the pain that you did suffer through
Wee Robin darling, how I do weep for you
A shining little star, so bright and true

'Nother angel taken away too soon
What hope did ye have in a ghetto toon
Left alone to freeze under icy moon
Naybiddy te help and no one aroond

Sadness overwhelms me, my heart does break
They forgot about you, they did forsake
Baby jesus came and your soul did take
To heaven up above, a new life to make

Robin wee darling, I never knew
A shining little star, so bright and true
