Rocky Road Poem by dun one

Rocky Road

I dream of a locomotive
Running down the line
Old dirt roads and railroad tracks
Lost through the bumps in time
Today things are different
Everything moves fast
How I long to just be wasting away
On a rickety porch
In the rickety past
Wasting away
Watching heat waves gather in the grass
Wasting away
Fat old sun up in the sky
Wasting away
Whipping dirt from out under my eye
Nightfalls
Luckily family calls
Wash those hands for supper
Everyone gather round
Tonight we celebrate living on this earth that somehow gets us down
