Romance
Oh girl, will you swoon for me
Would you take off those thick glasses
Lay one palm down on my thigh
Slip a kiss the way of this cheek
Expose your neck for me, some more
Lady, will you rise for me
Explode here, in an open doorway
Singing as loud as you can manage
And brighten the room with that smile
So carefully positioned for me to take a hold
Woman, you wake me so happily
So Saturday, so Sunday, so happy to see
And every day is a treat
When you lay here beside me
So small, so perfectly formed, such royalty
I bring a cup of tea to warm you
Nude and squinty-eyed, in the A.M.
Beaming back at me your thanks
We take the form of a tangled squeeze!
Through the loft and eaves
Pelted by the seagulls
Comes the sunlight
Comes the summer
Shines the light
Brightest summer
As we kiss...
