Romantic Incommunicado Poem by doug bentley

Romantic Incommunicado

Rating: 5.0

to visit the tomb of aesop,
go on a dig through family albums,
psychoanalyze santa claus,
interview the moon rabbit,

to jam the frequencies of old precepts,
unleash anarchies in the hemispheres
and with gordian knot tie the balance
of isosceles in riddles,

to with magic shield turn to stone
shadowy subterranean spectres,

i down down deep icelocked passages
tap tap tapping urgent messages
in secret morse code,

sending sonar signals
from fathomless fathoms of fear
which isolate and render
incommunicado.

ticktock walks the clock
down the pendulum to ashes,
comet slashing moon

curve like clown's smile
blotting stars in enigma
