Rumors Poem by Khaleel Steir

Rumors

Why would you spread a rumor?
These rumors have the force of a tidal wave and devour everything in sight
Rumors are destructive like a wildfire, spreading rapidly, always wanting more
Rumors could crush friendships, create enemies, and hurt people you care about
So why spread them? Would you want one about you to be out there?
Rumors haunt like ghosts, you can't see them but you can hear them
They walk among us and torment the weak
They could end futures, corrupt plans, and destroy lives
