Run Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Run

Poor darling getting old
No eternity for you
Just more hand creams
More make up
Narcissism denied by atrophy
Meaning and justification
Religion of self dying

The ball room lights
Affairs
Did you raise your kids right
How do you authenticate existence?
Now time stares with scrutiny
We all run don't we?
Some of us just run to far
