Runaway Poem by Katheryn Foley

Runaway

I ran away the pain it stayed,
I carved in me the pain for days,
The rain would not wash it away,
Everytime, It would not fade,

Since the day you said no,
Ive been trying to let you go,
I'm drowning in a pool of sorrow,
I found it easier not to know,

Scared of what morning would bring,
Would the world just stop?
Would I hear bells ring?
Would I see light shine?
Or would I let darkness be blind?
