Running Eagle
Ah...sister!
From now you must
Bury the old name
And all the
Superstitious cunning
With it's superficial evil
And all it stands for
As of this Monday girl
Call me Running Eagle
You missed the snippet
Of the eagle trapped in
The trapper's cruel trap
And the storm was paid
His mercenary's wages
And the flood was waiting
To flush him downstream
Where the flood destroys
Any eagle that has lost the
Glamor of his graceful flight
It took the self immolation
Of the song bird to spread
Eagle himself before the
Terror of the raging storm
And die like a man to let
The eagle live for the stunned
Admiration of our children and
God's thanks of the eternal
Love of posterity
And we must learn from the
Sacrifice of the unselfish bird
And be less greedy and be
Tolerant my friend.And above
All find joy in our ability
For the sake of just fair peace
To sacrifice and sacrifice and
Make one more sacrifice for
The continued survival of mankind
And the rest of God's creatures
On the beautiful planet earth
