Running Out Of Necessities Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Running Out Of Necessities

was too busy to reply yesterday
finally had a haircut anyway
finally it was overdue haircut day

had my haircut today
had to drop everything
had to go shopping

Hesti had used up her last pad
habit the usual like previously
had to suddenly go shopping days...

we had shopped both two days before
when asked what she needed needed nothing
then Hesti said we are down to our last

few grains of rice
but a few grains left
held in palm hand

so off to buy
a bag of rice
we went so

an adventure
bringing a 20 kg
bag of rice...

home sling over
motorbike petrol tank
is fleet riding fun

this time pads
periodically
this that things

poem about to post
Picasso Plastic Stretches Driven
was left sitting idle

finished but not posted
unread unsplit images unknown
left remaining pending...

same yesterday
same today
same tomorrow

home anyway
on the way
detour finally

finally had
a long awaited
haircut today
