Sacrilegious Sunset - Poem by Carsten Thomsen

Watery eyed
old man
Eyes clenched shut
sea and sun’s
Telling it stories
of things not dead
but simply gone
Like a blind heart
and a mind that knows
living without
what he thought
he couldn’t
