Sad Memories Poem by Valsa George

Sad Memories

Rating: 5.0

Painful memories follow me close to my heels
Mewing, mewing like homeless kitten
When I try to drive them away
They nuzzle at my feet
Until my eyes are welled with tears
Burying me in pools of grief
My vision is blurred until I flicker my eyelids
Letting salty streams run down my cheeks

A lovely poem indeed. As observed by Savita and Akshat the analogy of kitten nuzzling at feet is aptly used in the context of painful memories which continuously haunt us.
