Sadness Lingers Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Sadness Lingers

I sigh and I fret
I shall never forget
Last moments spent at your side.
How I'm missing you dear
Life has been drear.
Your countenance will ever abide.

So cold and dark
With such sadness of heart
I recall that wintertime snow
Heaven 'called you' my dear
I've shed tear after tear
Since the winter of long long ago.
