Safe From Love
Twist the knife
Thrust it deep...
what ecstasy the agony,
what cruel gain
the death throes of love
that once held your heart
so tender & true...
What victory
to stand aloof from love
as it bleeds and dies...
knowing it cannot touch you
again.
