Sailing Long Along Alone Poem by RIC BASTASA

Sailing Long Along Alone

you sail along
alone on a mirror of water
aboard a light bamboo raft
at the other end
you create a direction
the clouds glance at you
down below the
water level
finding this matter of drifting
too interesting
there is a relationship
developing
sailing all alone along
the surface of liquids
languid and languished
lean and light
a flight from a fight
this fool full of fear
