Salvation is not in giving,
but in receiving
trusting Jesus in our heart
and on his name believing

Salvation is not in doing,
but what has been done,
the payment for our sins
on the cross by God's own son

Salvation is not earned,
but is a free gift
purchased by Jesus' blood,
out of our sin to lift

Salvation is not trying to be good
or our life readjusting
but admitting we are a sinner
and in Jesus trusting

Salvation is being rescued
from the torments of hell
when drinking the living water
from Jesus' everlasting well

Salvation cannot be lost
and will last throughout eternity
When this earthly life is over
forever with Jesus we will be

John 1: 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
