Sand Poem by Nightfall Fear

Sand

Rating: 5.0

When I See A Desert, It Isnt Sand I See.
But Who Else Can See It? Or Is It Only Me?

You See Sadness And Hurt, Were Happiness Should Be.

When You Turn Away, The Vision Stays The Same.
Theres Nothing To Hold On To, And It Calls You By Your Name.

You Try To Run Away, But You Fall And Hit Your Head.
And Then All The Sand Changes, To A Dark Deep Bloody Red.

Then You Finally Realise, That It Really Isnt Sand.
You Try To Pick It Up, But It Runs Right Through Your Hand.

It Isnt Sand Around You, It Came From A Broken Heart.
It Got There From Your Tears, Nothing Left To Fall Apart.

All The Broken Peices, Broken Over And Over Again.
Your Heart Has Turned To Sand, And Youve No Jar To Put It In.

They Say Its Better To Have Loved And Lost, But I Cant See Why.
You Heart Wouldnt Be Sand, And Youd Have No Reason To Cry.

But At Least I Know Now, What I Didnt Before.
Theres An Entire Desert, Just Behind That Door.

I Wish To Find Someone, To Nail It Shut For Me.
But Noone Will Know, Its Just A Silent Plea.

So Now When You See A Desert, I Hope It Doesnt Hurt.
For The Deserts In My Heart, And My Heart Is In The Dirt.
