Sand In My Shoes Poem by Joseph Blitch

Sand In My Shoes

From heavenly abode, I had a need to go!
Like water to the earth, my spirit did flow.
Remembering the reason for this quest,
Avoid being carnal; stay spiritual at best.

To Tara Firma for just this one short trip,
Walk softly on solid ground; do not slip.
Bare feet when you walk in Earth’s sand,
Keeping in mind the Life Master’s plan.

And with the turn of each new season,
Be ever mindful as to this treks reason.
Not of self but for all things from above,
To dispel hate and bring on a new love.

Being ever mindful; in walking with care,
In this world of hate with all I must share.
For all, this message of old, need hear it,
To obtain life’s balance within their spirit.

Continually praising, the universal whole,
Allowing return home of a wayward soul.
Carefully, above all things, I must choose,
To never, get the world’s sand in my shoes!
